Our Brief History
Gretsa University is duly registered and accredited by the Commission for University Education and admitted its pioneer students in September 2006.
The university celebrated its first graduation ceremony in November 2010 which was graced by His Excellency Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta, C.G.H., President and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces of the Republic of Kenya (then Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Finance) as the guest of honour. We celebrated our 7th graduation ceremony in December 2016.
In pursuit of its vision of being a professional quality-driven institution, the university has continued to expand its facilities and develop new and relevant academic programmes that are designed to meet the needs of the society.
Gretsa University has positioned itself well to play its expected role in the world of reputable institutions of higher learning.
The university offers academic programmes that integrate academic study with challenges of the real-world workplace. Our curricula seeks to produce graduates who are well informed, open minded, intellectually curious, analytical and flexible in their approach to new information and intellectual challenges and who are capable of organizing ideas and expressing them persuasively.
Our graduates continue to do us proud as invaluable contributors in the industry in Kenya and the region. They are competent effective workers, job creators, concerned about societal issues and committed to learning as a continuing lifelong experience.
Being a duly registered and accredited University, our students qualify for education financing by the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
