Programmes in this School aim at producing professionals with knowledge and skills relevant for the management of hospitality and tourism industry.

The educational approach of this School is based on the belief that excellence in hospitality management requires full understanding of important life concepts like computer knowledge, communication skills and personal and interpersonal skills; professional and practical skills in Food and Beverage Management; Rooms Division Management; General Management and Leadership skills; Business skills in Entrepreneurship, Economics, Planning, Marketing, Human Resource, Accounting & Finance; and Research skills.

Travel and Tourism Management aims at preparing students to effectively take up supervisory positions in the Travel and Tourism Industry. It covers all areas of Travel Agency and Tour Management, Tourism Planning and Development, Conference and Conventions Management, Marketing and Meeting Planning and Management.

Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management

KCSE (or equivalent) with an aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C plain in Mathematics and English or

KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal and one subsidiary pass, and a minimum of a credit pass in mathematics and English in KCE or

A diploma in hospitality or relevant field from a recognized institution of Hospitality training.

Holders of relevant two academic year Diplomas join at the 2nd year of study while those with higher national Diplomas join in the 3rd year of study

Note: Credit transfers granted shall not exceed 49% of the applicable degree programme
