Effects Of Micro Credit Facilities On Growth Of Small And Medium Enterprises (sme) In Busia Town (busia County)

This study was aimed to investigating the effects of micro credit facilities on the growth of small and medium enterprises SMEs in Busia town, a research study on micro financial institutions and small scale businesses. The leading objective of my study was to identify the factors that influence micro credit access, the importance of micro credit facilities to small and medium enterprises SME, the measures of small scale business growth in Busia town and examine the challenges faced by small scale businesses in accessing micro credit. The methodology of the study was by use of study design with application of both qualitative and quantitative techniques. The fundamental data collection instrument was the questionnaires. The research data was collected from primary sources. Primary sources involving data gathering from the field using questionnaires. After the collection of the data, the researcher edited the response, coded the data to tabulate the response frequencies and percentages, present ant interpret and findings. The researcher recommended policies and strategies that could be used to avert factors that hindered accessibility of micro credit facilities by small scale business. He also showed other areas of study for further research purposes.
