The guiding objectives were: to find the effect of stores management on organization’s performance. To determine the effect of staff skills on stores performance at Kenyatta National Hospital. To find the effect of government policy on stores performance at Kenyatta National Hospital. The researcher adopted a case study approach. The target population were heads of procurement and supply chain departments and the employees in those departments. The findings showed that there are greater costs cutting in the stores and as such in the overall organizational performance. Government policies of monitoring and evaluation have played a greater role in enhancing ethical practices and reduction in fraud and errors in the stores department. Proper and continuous employee training is important to reap the benefits. Enough resources also should be provided like human and capital resources.
