Factors Influencing Employee Retention In Kenyan Organisations: A Case Of Basabra Supermarkets

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors influencing employee retention in Kenyan organizations. Employee retention is the process of employees remaining on the job for a long time and not willing to quit it for the other job opportunities in the labour market. It is influenced by several factors that are examined intricately in this study. The researcher concentrated the study on Basabra supermarkets ltd. The sample size of thirty employees based on support staff, branch leaders and a few from the human resource department. The questionnaire was administered to the respondents to acquire primary data. A fairly accurate and representative data was analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative approach. The findings of this study showed that most employees of Kenya Organizations are influenced by several factors that the employers are pretty much aware of.
